  • In satellite communications, the ability of a satellite Earth terminal to "see" a satellite, having it sufficiently above the horizon and clear of other obstructions so that it is within a free line of sight from the satellite Earth terminal. Note: A pair of satellite Earth terminals has a satellite in "mutual" view when both have unobstructed line-of-sight contact with the satellite simultaneously.
